IMPROVISATION ON MONIR FARMANFARMAYAN ART WORK
Duet for Saxophone & Piano
Kaveh Kateb & Negin Zomorodi
Duet for Saxophone & Piano based on the Munir Farmanfarian art work , Illustrate the  image of an infinite number of small mirrors sticking together.
The art of Munir Farmanfarmayian is a symbol of purity ,enlightenment, reflection, multiplication and unity. Munir combines the mirror with mathematical and metaphorical wisdom in order to create countless works at the intersection of two simultaneous approaches, folk art and conceptual art.
The result of two years of accompaniment based on improvisation, with a different look at Eastern spaces and fashions and western tones, was collected under the name of timeless mirrors…
Kaveh saxophone touches together with  sound patterns created by Negin ,beyond the present and past and between east and west. This sequence leads our minds to timelessness, which is improvised like a mirror of experiences and experiences in the form of music.

Improvisation on Munir Farmanfarmayian (one of the most geometric artists of his time) constantly goes through regular forms and shows his abstract approaches in modern art.
Negin Zomorodi studied engineering at the Polytechnic University before studying music and composition, and spent more than a decade of her life in mathematical and geometric relationships, so the idea of this project was very appealing to her. Negin has subconsciously created her  own music by sticking regular pieces of music elements,  very closer to Munir’s.
In Munir's art, systematizing the space and establishing logical relations between all the components is possible by using the correct geometric patterns and gives a special quality to the aesthetics of his works. In each of his works of art, he has instilled certain cultural and social concepts in his audience through formal and formal aspects. In choosing the form of music inspired by his mirror work, The two improviser choose a rotating form in which all parts have equal numbers, so that these equal ratios, equal sides of a square, an equilateral triangle are associated.
Munir was very inspired by Iranian indigenous and traditional culture and art in his mirror works. Using elements and themes of traditional and Iranian folk music will definitely be one of the materials used in writing my themes
.  since the mirror is also a symbol of creating a symmetry, then undoubtedly the use of the music retrograde technique can be an embodiment of this space.
. That is to say, the rupture of the character and the face without reaching God, and on the other hand, the mirror of leaving the room, puts thousands of images in front of the viewer's eyes, and these few images of a single body are a sign of unity in multiplicity.
The Two improviser create  motifs that reproduce themselves throughout the piece to evoke fragmented faces and, by repeating themselves, evoke the unity of creation.
These two musicians took every event as auspicious in the moment, so they called within themselves and found a short way beyond the knowledge and academic possessions, from colorlessness to placelessness.
And finally, a work emerged that has its own shape and color but is still a mirror of timelessness…
Kaveh Kateb and Negin Zomorodi presented this work to the mirrors of Munir Farmanfarmayian, an Iranian woman artist , who does not know the time of her works and is always alive, due to their interest and closeness
